It’s so easy to make granola bars at home, you can choose the ingredients and at least you know what’s in it. It doesn’t contain any preservatives, artificial colours or lots of glucose syrup.

3 ripe bananas
50 g rice flakes
30 g puffed buckwheat
30 g puffed amaranth
100 g sunflower seeds
100 g almond
2 tablespoon coconut flower syrup, or maple syrup
Measure the dry ingredients into a mixer bowl, crush the almonds into smaller pieces, smash the banana with a fork,
Then mix them well, and add 2 tablespoon coconut flower syrup, or any other sweetener. Taste it if you’d like add more syrup, but I think it’s enough with the banana’s sweetness.
Place the mixture onto a baking sheet and shape a rectangle, then bake it in preheated oven at 165C for 30-35 minutes. When it’s ready, turn off the oven and let it cool down in it.
Because you give it time to cool down with the oven it’ll be drier, then slice it. Because it doesn’t contain any preservatives keep them in a dry cool place.
